Dear Taylor Street Families,

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Taylor Street! I hope you all had a restful and rejuvenating summer break. As we begin this new academic journey together, I am thrilled to share some exciting updates and highlights about what’s happening at our school.

Over the summer, Taylor Street received several incredible improvements: brand new roofs, remodeled classrooms, a brand-new play structure, and a field that is almost ready to be used! These additions will make our campus even more welcoming and enjoyable for our students.

Academically, our primary focus this year will continue to be on reading, as strong literacy skills are the foundation for academic success. Alongside this, we will also emphasize mathematics, ensuring that our students are equipped with the essential skills needed to thrive in the 21st century. To help inspire and motivate our students, we are excited to launch school-wide math and reading challenges this year.

I am also proud to share that Taylor Street won most of the district-wide attendance contests last year! We will continue to build on that momentum, encouraging all of our Bears to be present, engaged, and ready to learn every day.

Beyond academics, we are committed to creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every student feels safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Throughout the year, we will continue to host engaging assemblies, our annual Harvest Festival, special field trips, and other memorable events that make learning both fun and meaningful.

A special thank you to our incredible Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) for their ongoing partnership and support. We look forward to working alongside our families and community to ensure this year is filled with growth, joy, and success for every student.

I am confident that this school year will bring amazing learning opportunities, exciting achievements, and lasting memories. Please remember that my door is always open—never hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns, or ideas.
