Physical Education

Here at Robla School District we strive to provide all students a safe environment to cultivate a lifelong love of physical activity. Our goal every day is to make sure all students move at least 80% of the time, develop social skills, and practice sport skills. There is always an emphasis on fitness in Physical Education lessons.

The curriculum begins with a warm up (ASAP), getting the students moving as soon as possible. Then the lessons move into both sport and fitness exercises and skills. These include individual activities, partnerships, small group games, and static stretching.  Fitnessgram preparation is also included in the lessons. Building all students’ aerobic capacity, abdominal strength, upper body strength, flexibility and body composition is intertwined in daily lessons.

As a part of the program we have Intramural sports among all five of our schools in the Robla District. These community building games help our students learn to function as  part of a team. The athletes learn sportsmanship, self discipline, build self-esteem, and exhibit school spirit. Our intramural sports program also reinforces the importance of physical fitness.
