Now in its third year, this district-wide program focuses on proactive, positive teaching and practicing of School Behavior Expections: Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible. We teach and practice specific behaviors for success in all school settings -- the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, playground and all settings across the school campus. A positive school climate with behavior supports and interventions is proven improve academics, decrease behavior problems, build positive relationships between students and staff, create a more safe and efficient school environment where students and staff enjoy spending time, teaching and learning.
We acknowledge students for following the Behavior Expectations with "gold tickets" and a weekly drawing for prizes and game rooms. We also acknowledge students by complementing them and giving special priveleges when teachers and staff see any student demonstrating respectful, responsible and/or safe behavior. Bus riders receive Bus Bucks to acknowledge students for following the Behavior Expectations while on the bus. Be Respectful, Use a Responsible Voice, and Stay Safe on the BUS.
